A belated birthday wish

So my Mom has had a string of unlucky events happen on her birthday. Oklahoma City bombing, San Francisco earthquake, and some other fun historic events. But here's a shot of her birthday in 2006 at our wedding in Kauai. I think this was a good one. Love you Mama. Happy belated Birthday!!!

A little reminiscing

We lost another good man the day after Easter - our Uncle Larry. It's hard to wrap your head around it, and I still don't think we've processed it yet. I feel like we just saw him and that we are going to see him again soon. But I guess that's a good thing. His presence and vivaciousness are still with us. I loved my visits to my Aunt Sharon's and Uncle Larry's. Tons of yummy food, heated debates with my Uncle (that would end in us both laughing) and just a lot of love. We are going to miss you Uncle Larry, but we know you're having a glass of wine with Grandpa Dalton up there (watch out though, Grandpa liked it out of a box). :) I just love this picture of Larry...it reminds me so much of Caddyshack and Meatballs (two of my favorite movies)

Easter 2009

Noe's 1st time dying eggs. She had a blast! No egg holder, soaking her hands instead of the eggs, and all while wearing the latest in trash bag couture. Thank goodness Grandma thought of the trash bag though, because Noe decided that the blue would look lovely all over her body and Grandma's kitchen floor. ;) Here she is admiring her work.

Me and my Mama on Easter & Noe's first visit with Luau the pig (Mackenzee's 4H project).

Easter Love. Aren't they cute??

Here are our nephews, and yes little Canyon decided that Easter needed a superhero. So we had a basket carrying Batman.

Noelani during the hunt. She did great, but we did have
a little practice the week before when we decorated the house.
She got her basket out of the Easter bin and filled it full of eggs.
Then she would dump them out and repeat. It was all part
of her training program. ;)

Grandma D with the Grandkids, my favorite duo, and all the Great-grandkids.

Hope everyone had a great Easter. I know we did!!

Hairbands and Ladybugs

With the warm weather the past few days, I thought I would take Noelani to the beach for the day to stay cool. Little did I know how much she loves to nap on the sand. With the waves in the background & the warm breeze who wouldn't? Mama was jealous.

She also had the pleasure of her first ladybug visit. Noe was so excited to watch it crawl all over her toes.

Noe and Daddy reading on the front porch on Sunday. For some reason she loved wearing Daddy's USC headband. We didn't care though, because it kept her little bangs from hanging in her eyes.

Noe and her good friend Nathan going for a little ride. Nathan loved pushing her around and practicing his walking skills. When the tables were turned however, Noe wasn't too keen on returning the favor. Little princess.

Auntie Carie gave me these hairbands in my birthday package. Noe quickly tore them off the cardboard and displayed them like Cyndi Lauper.

And there's nothing better than hanging with Grammy Sue.

Back in the day...

So I just got an email from my sister-in-law. She sent us some pictures from 5 years ago. Love...

The Beach

My favorite picture of my favorite people in the WORLD!

Eating cuties at the beach with Daddy.

So what if I'm sandy...I love this.

LOVE

Just me & my seaweed.

Chillin' at the beach.

And scene...

Fun with slippers

Because I get to stay at home with Noe, we find some interesting things to occupy our time. So we introduced Daddy to "Slipper Skiing" one of our favorite past times.

We also have fun racing Noelani's car up and down the hallway. It's a good bum workout too! (Just tilt your head to the side).

And she loves playdates that involve eating and some form of water. Here's Noe with her good friend Nathan. Don't they look like twins?
