Christmas Eve at Grandma D's

Every year we have Christmas Eve at my Grandma Dalton's house. This year we were going to skip it due to my extremely large belly and the fact that I can go into labor at anytime, but we decided to roll the dice and go for it! It was well worth the trip, as you can see.

Hanging with Dad, checking out the loot, and family time.

Opening packages with cousin Kenzee and eating her "lolly".

Chillin' with her aunties by the fire.

Flying with uncle Marshall.

Uncle Craig dressed to impress, the annual father/daughter shot,
and Grandma D with Dalton and his girlfriend Kaylyn.

Love birds.

Capping the night off with a little Gingerbread house decorating.
Or should I say tasting. I think more candy and frosting
went in their tummies than on the houses, but they did have
some construction issues so they needed to refuel. ;)

Our cute little Christmas Eve bug.

Santa's cookies

With Noe's birthday and all the Christmas Eve festivities, we had to make Santa's cookies before the trip to Lompoc. Then we had to guard them with our life in our overstuffed car during the long trip up.

And...they made it!! My Mom has an awesome plate and cup just for Santa cookies. So cute!

Noelani's Lompoc Birthday

Noelani's birthday is on Christmas Eve, so we celebrated with my family. Here's the Wilcox way of serenading the birthday girl.

We let Noe decorate her own cake this year. My Mom had all these great decorations left over from years of birthday cakes. So Noe decided to put all of them on her cake ~ hula girls, roosters, palm trees, fish, turtles, Christmas trees, a golf ball, seaweed, the Easter bunny, Santa and Frosty. Creative little bug.

Fun with Playdoh

Patrick got home early one night, so we had a little fun with some Playdoh.

What a good Daddy

You know you married the right man, when he lets his daughter paint his toes. I had just gotten a pedicure and Noe wanted to give someone some polish love. With a little prompting, Daddy gave in. We love you Patrick and your sparkly toes!!

Our little Christmas baby

Checking out the tree.

Santa Baby

Ta-daaaaaaa!

Posing in her new jammies.

Her Santa painting at the Garden.

Her new song.

It's Christmas Time in Noelani's Room

This holiday season totally crept up on us. Poor Noe kept begging to decorate, so I finally busted out her little tree and let her go at it. My brain washing must have worked! She loves to decorate for the holidays.

Admiring her hard work.

Hittin' the gym

To keep busy during the week, we like to explore all things kids. The YMCA by our house has an open gym. It is a legit gymnastics center that allows the preschoolers to take over for an hour each day. So Noe went hog wild. Trampolines, ropes, bars, and the best of all a foam pit. Super fun, but I can't get her out any more. It's too hard for me to maneuver with my massive belly. The good thing is she doesn't fling herself too far yet, so I can grab her arm. ;)

Chillin' in the big foam wheel.

Stuck in the foam pit.

Noelani's Garden Party

Noelani's birthday falls on Christmas Eve, so we've decided to throw her birthday the first weekend of December each year. That way it's before the craziness of the season kicks in. The only hard part is the weather. It could be 80 and beach weather, or 58 and raining. This year we rolled the dice and had her party at the San Diego Botanic Garden, and it was awesome. They have painting, crafts, a model train, playhouse, water well to play in, bubble tubs, dinosaur digs, and plenty of room for the kids to spread out and get dirty. I don't even think she cared that it was her birthday. She would have been happy painting all day. We had a pinata, so we painted canvas bags for all the kids to collect the candy. My parents, sister, brother and his fam, Patrick's Dad and sister, and a lot of kiddos came and made it a great day for our little stinkbug.

Noe with her little friend Alden. Gettin' crafty.

Concentrating on the blocks. Auggie's birthday design.

Grammy Sue and Auntie Kim.

Painting with her friend Maddie.

Begging with Oliver to have someone, anyone open their lollipops.

Goofin' off with Katie and Madeline.

Chowin' with the cousins.

Working hard on her art project.

Blowing out those 3 candles. 3 already? Yikes!

My favorite shot of all time. The cutest little bugs around!

Happy Birthday Noe-lou!

Noelani's Quotes of the day

Noe after a major tantrum: "There must be something that can make me feel betta."

And the first words that came out of her mouth at 6 am: "balls...it smells like cheese balls".

She's one crazy kid.

Noelani's Early birthday

Almost of all of my family came down for Noelani's birthday party on Sunday (more pics to follow). So we were able to do a few fun things with them before the actual party. My Dad and Patrick went golfing here in Carlsbad, where my Dad shot his best game!! Cousin Dalton went to a Chargers/Raiders game with his girlfriend, and my brother's fam surprised cousing Canyon with a trip to Legoland for his early birthday present!! My Mom, my sister, Noe and I were able to get a little Xmas shopping in and a quick visit with Santa.
Because Noe's birthday isn't until the 24th (and we probably won't make it home due to the size of my belly), we had a little early celebration for her. She doesn't quite get the concept of presents and the business of opening them, but man were we excited to open them!

Noelani with Santa. No tears this year!!

On Daddy's shoulders at the Encinitas Christmas parade.

Doing a little plie in her new ballet shoes from Grammy and Papa.

Hugging her pillow pet from Auntie Kim (Uncle Craig, D, and Kenz too).

Checking out her new balance bike from Uncle Marshall and the Wilcox Circus.

Overall she's one lucky girl!!!
