Coldy Colds and tents

Just amazed at how much love we have for these two little bugs.

We've all been fighting a cold and it seems that poor Patty is the last to catch it.  It's a no good.  Anyway, the girls and I have been hanging out in the house ALL day the past couple of days.  It makes for really long days, so we've had to be creative with our "fun time".  Changing the sheets on Noe's bed turned into tent time.  I can remember making forts and using encyclopedias and world books to "hold down the fort".  You just had to make sure you didn't get knocked out when one fell.  It's so cool to now be hanging out with Noe in her creation.

Boys gettin' the job done

We are so proud of the boys in our family.  They are all
getting the job done!  Canyon Ray passed his 500 word list
at school.  Nice job buddy!

Dalton and his team won their first CIF baseball game!
D had a great game and we were so lucky to get to see him play.
Keep it going Braves!

Tyler won the WSA under 14 season champ!  Way to
go little ripper!

We are so lucky to have all these wonderful
kids in our family and to be a part of their lives.
Cheers to you guys!

The Aquarium

Patrick went golfing with his brother in Long Beach for
his birthday (Happy Birthday Uncle Richie!),
so I took the girls and we met up with some friends at
the Aquarium. It's always so great to see all the ocean creatures.

Noe checking out the coral and anemones.

Finster chillin' in the stroller taking it all in.

Noelani, her little friend Alden and the seals and sea lions.

My friend Cory (Alden's Mom) had this ball in her stroller.
The kids would roll it back and forth, up and down, and the sea
lions would follow it. The kids had a blast being mini-trainers. The
sea lions on the other hand were probably saying, "give me that dang
thing and while your at it...get me out of here!!"

Zoomar's

Last Friday Noe, Fin and I were on our way to Zoomar's petting zoo, when I called my good friend Elena (ok, check this for friendships...this year makes 31 years that we've been the best of friends. Crazy!!) It was her birthday and she was totally up for a trip to Zoomar's with us. She was the bunny and guinea pig whisperer. Those poor little animals were constantly getting chased by all the crazy kids, so they definitely welcomed Elena and her calm spirit. If you are ever down in San Juan Capistrano with your kids, check it out. It was so much fun!

Noelani riding the big horse. She didn't want the pony. "Big horse Mama". She got on and didn't look back.

Auntie Nena with the sheep.

Checking out the big pigs that were foaming at the mouth. Yum.

The "bag" and a growing Finster

Fin is growing so fast. She's been good about her tummy time workouts and is getting stronger everyday. :)

Remember how exciting sleeping bags were when you were little. I can still remember having spend overs at my grandparents' house and using their red, white, and blue sleeping bags with the stars on the inside. It was always such a good time. Noe found her's up in her closet and has just unleashed years of fun!

Quail Gardens with the kiddos

I took the girls to Quail gardens today. It was a beautiful
day out and Noe loved exploring while Fin loved snoring. :)

Mother's Day 2011

This Mother's day was packed full of good times. It was our niece & nephew's first communion. So we gathered the troops and made it to Long Beach for the 9 am mass. Mandy looked so cute in her special dress and veil, and what made it even more special is that it was at the church Patrick went to as a kid.

Guest starring Finlee!

Then it was off to Bolsa Chica beach for a Mother's day brunch
cooked by the men! It was so good, but poor Pat had to save
the day. A roll of paper towels caught on fire right by the propane
tank, so Patrick grabbed it to throw it to the ground. Just as he
picked it up, the wind blew the fire right into his face. Luckily he
just burned his hand and most of the hair on the left side of his
head. So when we got home I had to put my hair cutting skills to
the test. He looks fabulous, but I miss his curls.

And last but definitely not least, Happy Mother's Day to my Mama.
She's amazing and brought the 3 of us into the world. She continues
to nurture us and take care of us and does a great job!!
We love you Mom!

The babies

I'm one for hand-me-downs. You know the whole
reduce~reuse~recycle. So this is a playhouse that's
been through 3 households and now it's Noe's treehouse.
She loves it and makes us stand outside by this
window so she can bust through the doors and yell
"surprise!!" Oh, the little joys in life.

I found Noe's old headband in her sock organizer
and I couldn't resist. Finny couldn't care less. ;)

Silly girls and 3 beach days in a row!

Soakin' up every minute and realizing that we live in paradise!!

Because sometimes rainboots are just necessary.

Had to post this face. It cracked us up!

Beach day #1 ~ Cardiff Reef.
Noe & Fin doin' what they do.
Daddy caught some good ones.

Beautiful beach day #2. Shakas at Tamarack.
Daddy caught some more good ones and
Mommy went out too.

Beach day #3 ~ Cardiff Reef
Noe and I coming in from a misty session.
Daddy caught even more good ones!

Hanging out with Daddy.

Question for you...is getting pooped on by birds good luck?
Or is that just a myth? Because every single one of these beach
days came with a little surprise from the birds above.
Day 1 ~ Finny and I got tagged.
Day 2 ~ Our whole camp, umbrella, board bags, etc...tagged.
Day 3 ~ A 2 tagger kind of day. Our whole car by a group of pelicans
and then inches from Finny (again) a seagull...tagged.

I'm thinking it's good luck and we are in for some real good things in the
next couple of days/weeks/months/years!!!

Birthdays & Kisses

Here's my friend Megan with Finlee at her daughter Olivia's 3rd birthday. They had it at the Santa Ana Zoo. Noe had a great time running around. Although we couldn't see any animals. I think they were all sleeping.

While we were up in Lompoc, it was my nephew's Senior Prom. He's turned out to be such a good kid. I can't believe he's graduating in a month!! Craziness! He was only 6 weeks old at my highschool graduation. Man, I'm gettin' up there.
