Oh that Noelani

This morning Patrick was coloring and creating some beautiful art with Noe. He was leaning in close to help her with her picture when she gave him a funny look and said "eooph" and waved her hand around. When Pat said, "what is it?" Noe got louder. "Eooph!!" and was now waving both hands while giving Daddy some serious stink eye. Turns out Daddy had morning breath. HA HA HA! Glad it wasn't me, but it's only a matter of time before she calls me out. ;) I always do that when she has a stinky diaper, and she's become quite the sponge. Oops!!

We were unloading her from the car today and she waved to Patrick and said "Ni Hao Daddy". Which means hello in Chinese. I guess cartoons are educational!

Breaking points

Patrick's been working INSANE hours lately, so Noe and I decided to head up to Lompoc for a mid-week visit. We had another busy couple of days, but it was great. My nephew Dalton started as quarterback on Friday night, and Noelani helped to cheer him on!!

Friday was also my Parents' (not pictured...;) and my Brother and Jana's anniversary. Love!

More Pumpkin Patch fun. Well almost. The day started off with a whiney bang!
All of us were super tired and it showed. Noelani cried the whole
time and Mommy just wouldn't admit that maybe, just maybe we needed to go home.
By the end of it, Noe was crying, Mommy was on the verge, and it made
for a long, long day.

We love Daddy!!

Noe and Daddy on the carousel.

Pumpkins, trains, and ponies...oh my.

What an amazing weekend!! Patrick finally had the ENTIRE weekend off. No checking voicemail, no meetings, nothing. It was so awesome. We really have to cherish every moment, because he's been working night and day. So Friday evening we didn't to hit up Pa's Pumpkin Patch in Long Beach. Noe just had a blast. She climbed over all the pumpkins, rode the train twice, rode the ponies, went into the petting zoo, and best of all she was able to ride the carousel with her Daddy!! Except for the crazy Turkey that tried to take off her fingers, it was so fun. It makes me so thankful for my childhood. Growing up out in the country, we had everything...horses, rabbits, chickens, dogs, cats, sheep, and a huge billy goat at one point. I know it was A LOT of work for my parents, but man was it great growing up. After the petting zoo I kept thinking, a chicken coup could fit in my backyard. ;)

The rest of the weekend was just as great. We hit up the park, Patrick caught a
little football, ate yummy food and just enjoyed each other. Ahh...love.

Noe-ism

Noelani LOVES books. We were laying on her bedroom floor reading some of her picks, when my stomach growled. Noe gets up and says "uh-oh". She runs around to my backside, rubs my behind and says "poops". It was nearly "peeps" I was laughing so hard!!

Disappearing "Cado"

Today I could have sworn I moved an avocado off of our kitchen table, because Noe likes to bite into them. So I looked all over the kitchen thinking I was losing my mind. Then I asked Noe if she saw the avocado and much to my surprise she led me right to it. She had hidden it under Patrick's desk. "There it is Mama." I couldn't get mad, because first of all she was too cute. Plus I was just relieved that I hadn't lost my mind (well, not totally :=)

Happy day to you...

Ponies and tutus

Funny little story. I took Noe to her first dance class on Monday and picture this ~ a class full of girls ranging in age from 20 months to 3 years old. All of them completely decked out in leotards, tights, tutus, and ballet shoes. You would think that because I've been a dancer forever that I would've dressed Noe in her tutu. Wrong! She was the only one in stretchy pants, a t-shirt, and robeez (leather shoes). Oops. Plus I think I had more fun than she did. It was the closest I've come to a dance class in awhile. :)

Today Noe and I went to the Lakewood Equestrian Center with some friends for some pony rides. She wasn't too sure about the goats, but she LOVED the ponies. Some of the kids freaked out on the ponies, but not our girl. She freaked out when we took her off the pony. Go figure.
