A beautiful day at the lagoon

 

A couple of weeks ago we had some beautiful weather and the girls needed to get outside, so we headed to the lagoon for a nature walk and to look for some pine cones.

 Well, we didn't find any pine cones at the lagoon, but our neighbor had a ton under their tree.  The girls, along with a ton of glue and glitter, made mini Christmas trees.

Finny hits the gym

Our little bug had been taking Gymnastics for a bit and we are so proud of her.  She wasn't too keen on the idea at first, but now she's ready to move up a level.. Go Finny!!!

Summertime

I feel like summer just flew by.  Ours went a little something like this...beach, swim, beach, Lompoc visit, swim while in Lompoc, Cayucus, swim in Cayucus, home, beach, swim, Lompoc again, beach, swim and then beach again.  Oh and one more time at the beach. 

In all seriousness, we have had an amazing summer.  I love these two girls and my hubby like crazy.  What a wonderful life.

Why is it that I never sew anymore?

I love to sew.  I'm not very good at it, but I still love it.  And just yesterday I busted out the sewing machine.  I needed to make some baby blankets, fix some things, finish an apron, and of course make a stuffed animal that Noe designed.  But everytime I even think about getting creative, these two stinkbugs beat me to it.  Every single piece of fabric and stuffing was pulled out and thrown about. What was going to be a little 30 minute project ends up being a 2 hour cleaning session.  Man they are lucky they're cute.  ;)

Our Maiden Voyage

 Here we go.  Our first camping trip with the girls.  We camped with our friends about 15 minutes from our house (that way we could bolt home if things got bad) at the beach.  If you see above, I'm kind of a good packer.  Ha ha ha!!  I was so proud of myself.  I even strapped the boards on top!!  Woot!  Woot!

 These two little explorers were awesome.  It was so fun to see them making forts and secret hideouts.

So happy I was able to capture this moment.  Fin cracked us up the entire weekend.  She definitely lights up our lives.

 

How happy is Noelou?  She made the perfect s'more and couldn't be happier.  Little does she know she's our perfect little s'more.

We had an amazing weekend.  The girls slept like logs. They scootered, played, ran, dug, hid, laughed and overall had an amazing time.  Here's to more and more camping adventures.

Happy Birthday to my amazing Mom! She is the most caring woman I know and I feel so blessed to have her to look to for advice, laughs and hugs. Love you Mom!!
