After a long, sandy beach day...
Ok, funny story (but not at the time). I drove up to Manhattan Beach to visit my friend Celi and her little girl Lua ~ she's a week older than Fin. We had fun with the girls, ate about 25 Brazilian cheese bread puffs and went in the jacuzzi so they could swim for a bit. I was recovering from a migraine (usually brought on by dehydration) the day prior and wasn't thinking that maybe, just maybe the jacuzzi wasn't the best idea. So after we went back upstairs to hangout, I started feeling fuzzy headed. Just out of sorts. I thought maybe I'm just exhausted. So I decided to head home. It's a good hour and a half drive with no traffic. About 35 minutes into it I had to call my Mom to keep me awake. I felt like caca. I had already passed the last possible place to pull over with the girls. So my Mom talked to me up until San Onofre. That's when I scrambled around in the car for a barf bag. The lucky winner was a bubble wrap mailing envelope. So picture me in the fast lane, in traffic, not able to get over to an exit, mailer to the mouth, emptying my stomach contents for the whole freeway to see. Man, talk about multi-tasking!! Ha ha ha! I just have to say thanks to my Mom for hanging in there with me and keeping me awake! Note to self...drink more water braniac!
Lua and Fin watching a Brazilian kids show. Lua was entranced. Fin on the other hand just wanted to chew on anything and everything. |
Happy girl.
At the garden.
