Noelani's birthday falls on Christmas Eve, so we've decided to throw her birthday the first weekend of December each year. That way it's before the craziness of the season kicks in. The only hard part is the weather. It could be 80 and beach weather, or 58 and raining. This year we rolled the dice and had her party at the San Diego Botanic Garden, and it was awesome. They have painting, crafts, a model train, playhouse, water well to play in, bubble tubs, dinosaur digs, and plenty of room for the kids to spread out and get dirty. I don't even think she cared that it was her birthday. She would have been happy painting all day.
We had a pinata, so we painted canvas bags for all the kids to collect the candy. My parents, sister, brother and his fam, Patrick's Dad and sister, and a lot of kiddos came and made it a great day for our little stinkbug.
